1. La Blogotheque - The Take Away Shows

    April 1, 2009 by AnnaChristine

Hurrah! This is my 50th post! And what better to show yous guys than some awesome work done by a collective of directors over at La Blogotheque? Soooooo I’ve known about La Blogotheque for a while now as I go through phases of watching Current TV and their amazing work is often shown as pods on there. I came across their site recently and decided that it was about time to share. The whole concept is a spontaneous uncontrollable filming of music by musicians in unexpected and expected places. The aresenal of videos so far includes such names as Tom Jones, Sigur Ros, Amanda Palmer, Bloc Party, R.E.M., Animal Collective, Jason Mraz, Sufjan Stevens, The Shins, Dave Bazan (who I might have playing a small show at my house btw) and a huge collection of other musicians and bands who I have not yet heard of and soon will once I get through watching all of the hundreds of videos this site offers. I’m going to post a few here and the rest can be found here: http://www.blogotheque.net/-Concerts-a-emporter-?lang=en

  2. Yeah Yeah Yeahs - Zero

Newest video for the pop rock band yeah yeah yeahs. I remember when the song maps came out and I remember just loving how she delivers her vocals. It’s like a steady car trip, no dramatic twists and turns, and you might think that would be bad, but it’s not in the case of the yeah yeah yeahs. This video is nicely done and Karen O is absolutely adorable dancing through the streets. Enjoy!
