1. Hey folks

    March 12, 2009 by AnnaChristine

Many apologies for not being as up on the ball as I intended to be. The last couple of days have been hell as I came down with death out of nowhere. I couldn’t do much of anything yesterday. I spent most of the day in bed. But don’t dispair! I promise cool stuff soon enough!

So Beck’s music is the kind that I don’t hear very often, but everytime I do, I get really into the music. He also ends up with a crap load of awesome vids. Now I need to go buy some Beck…… I think I’m going to throw the Shins in there too, kind of in a duo mood for both of them…. at the SAME TIME! Do I feel a mashup coming on????? Probably not as I have no idea how to make that craziness, and I don’t think I know anyone else who can either….. *sigh* oh well… hit the jump for a couple more

  3. 100 Dances, 100 locations, 100 songs

This video doesn’t have amazing editing or lighting or really cool animations, it’s just an asian guy doin a whole lotta dancing, and while the whole concept seems a little silly, it’s actually very entertaining. So entertaining that I had to mentally stop my self from breaking into my own dance recital in the middle of the office (I’m pretty sure my co workers would’ve gotten a laugh, but it’s the day before my 21st birthday, no sense in making a fool of myself yet!)

Not only was I highly entertained, I think I found the perfect dance party mix in this video. Soon I will have all of these songs and they will be played for me to dance to, MWAHAHAHAH!

Enjoy the madness…. the song list is after the jump.

  4. What you can get for $500 and some skill and determination

Escape from City 17 based off of the game Half Life, aside from a bit of questionable acting, is pretty damn good.

The Escape From City 17 short film series is an adaptation based on the Half Life computer game saga by Valve Corporation. Originally envisioned as a project to test out numerous post production techniques, as well as a spec commercial, it ballooned into a multi part series. Filmed guerilla style with no money, no time, no crew, no script, the first two episodes were made from beginning to end on a budget of $500.

On a $500 budget, this is amazing. The CG and compositing is well done and the atmosphere, lighting and camerawork do really well to portray this destroyed world as primitive and hopeless as the two intro characters try to escape. The fight choreography is really good, too.

I hope you guys enjoyed this installment, keep an eye out for more as I will be too.
